cotto and trout


Austin Trout has completed the first major test of his boxing career. By upsetting Miguel Cotto's WBA Super Middleweight title in its store in New York City on Saturday night, the American rising star should open more opportunities to move yourself forward.

Thinks Cotto last two losses came against Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Trout puts himself pretty elite company. This is the most important victory of his career at this point.

27-year-old left-hander has worked his way up the ranks for some time. He picked up his first professional victory Justo Almazan back in 2005 and has since recorded 25 more wins in succession.

Undefeated boxer streak like that always get noticed, but it takes a marquee win to take his popularity to another level. Beating Cotto expected to conclude that the trout, who originally beat Rigoberto Alvarez to win the light-middleweight title.

There were questions on how trout entering the fight in progress now. After all, it is normal to suffer disappointment when militants placed a high pressure situation as he was in front of Madison Square Garden crowd.

Given Cotto achievements and experience in these types of bouts, it's no surprise he was the favorite. But Trout is back behind itself fighting for the spotlight and the result was a victory that will have noticed in the world of boxing.

Proving he could go toe-to-toe with one of the most famous boxers in the world right now, he showed that his undefeated record is no accident, even though the competition was relatively low.

This is only the beginning, however. It should be a great fight to win by creating yet another top competitor in the Heavyweight division. He does not get lost in the shuffle and the second paragraph of the fight again.

Now that he has beaten Cotto and illustrated his ability to perform in front of a large audience, the next couple of fights are extremely important. The fans are going to start to pay more attention. A few more wins and great trout bandwagon will fill up.
