The Texas Tech Red Raiders have reportedly


The Texas Tech Red Raiders have reportedly hired former Texas A & M offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, about their head coaching vacancy (Associated Press via DallasNews.com) filling.

This is a great hire at a number of levels, and the Red Raiders are sure to be a competitive football program in the Big 12 with Kingsbury on top. They were lucky to get such a promising young talent to fill positions, especially on such short notice.

If you have not heard, former coach Tommy Tuberville TTU reportedly left in the middle of dinner with a potential Red Raiders came to Cincinnati to take on the job this past weekend. Waste surprising that school officials know exactly where fortunately for change.


Keenum epic season was largely due to the leadership of Kingsbury
Kingsbury played quarterback for the Red Raiders from 1998-2002, collecting and retaining a large number of big wins before. In coaching after a failed pro career in 2008

The San Antonio native got his first job as an assistant for the Houston Cougars before helping co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2010, and then-fiance QB Case Keenum became an absolute stud in the middle.

After the 2011 season, Kingsbury jump ship-along with former Houston head coach Kevin Sumlin, the Aggies. HC / OC duo helped team to 10-2 record in his first season SEC play and their high-powered attacks left more than 552 yards per game on offense.

It also produced Heisman winner QB Johnny Manziel the student, the youngest player ever to reach respectability. Kingsbury directly involved in the success of Johnny Football, and guardianship youth coach at his alma mater would be greatly appreciated.
