Goalkeeper Miguel Calero


Mexico (AP) - Miguel Calero, former goalkeeper of Colombia, who played for Mexico's Pachuca over a decade, has died of complications from blood vessels in the block. He was 41.

Pachuca said in a statement that Calero died Tuesday in a hospital in Mexico.

Calero is the obstruction of blood vessels in and was hospitalized a week ago in Mexico, where he was in the game with Pachuca. Calero resignation of Pachuca in 2011 and moved to the bench as goalkeeping coaching possible. Leadership, they help us to four subjects and the regional Copa Sudamericana.

Calero had surgery, but was declared "brain dead" on Monday. The doctor said his situation was irreversible.

"Miguel Calero in the center of a great epoch in the history of Pachuca," and said in a statement.

Calero played 50 times for Colombia and members of the 1998 World Team Cup, the last time Columbia the right to participate in the event.

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos said his country felt the pain.

"It hurts all of Colombia's what happened to Miguel Calero," the president wrote his Twitter account. "Football is in mourning."
