It seems just yesterday we were familiar with this season wannabe "voice" competitor during blind-audition rounds, and now we have almost reached the end of the singing competition the third season.
Only one contestant was sent home Tuesday (December 11) after Monday the "musically perfect" performance episode, which left three participants fight it in a round of concerts before the winner is announced. Sweet-as-pie, teddy-bear singer Treviño Hunt Team Cee Lo was sent packing, so Nicholas David Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope in the competition.
Team Cee Lo Fight For The Last Spot On "The Voice"
"Thank you for pushing me, motivating me," Hunt said his coach, expressed gratitude for the way he learned to draw and explore his vocal capabilities. "I love you, Cee Lo. I always will love you. 'M Just happy to be here."
Moments before the names were announced, coach Cee Lo expressed sorrow over having to lose one of those two men beautiful as Hunt and David was down two.
"I hate to see you two faced against each other," he said. "You have my love and respect loyalty in the future. May the best man win."
Cassadee Pope is a "mortal lock" to win "The Voice"?
Speaking of happy moments in the show, Team Blake finalist McDermott and Pope began the evening with a duet performance / cover of "Little Talks" by Icelandic folk / indie band of monsters and men, who, as luck would have it, was in fact in the house to watch the action, enjoyed it, judging by their enthusiastic applause after the fact.
Tuesday the program was bursting with "Voice" graduate activities. Juliet Simms turned the show to a full on rock concert with the theater, Joan Jett-esque performance of his single "Wild Child". A former member of team Cee Lo, which is still controlled by her trainer, host Carson Daly said she was happy to be back on the scene and it is recommended competitors try to live in the present and be proud that I made it here. Simms' showstopper followed blonde country RaeLynn Songbird, a former member of a team Blake, which slowed things down a bit with her slightly naughty new single "Boyfriend." Finally, we were treated to a strong tube former team member Christina Chris Mann, who made his ballad "way."
The last performance of the evening was Team Cee Here Treviño Nicholas Hunt and David was sad and sentimental to the Mariah Carey classic "Hero".
